That's so cool.

I want a star toooo. I'd call it Spongey, and I'd take real good care of it. I'd walk it, and wash it, and feed it, and play with it, and and and...

*sniff* I want one...

Ok, I got one. Actually, I got one for Dante. The star with SAO No. 108403, located Right Ascension 23H 6m 39s, Declination 10° 32m 34s, has been named... Dante the Dawg.

*woof* *woof* how cool! so was he suitably impressed?

He wanted to eat it, so I had to explain the dangers of eating superheated plasma. And after that, he wasn't all that interested. Apparently a rubberchicken is more interesting than a star across the galaxy.

Dogs definitely pick up a lot from their owners. Behavioral traits, sleeping patterns, hair styles... ok, so maybe not that, but yeah, there is some truth in that in time dogs and their owners start to look alike.
I mean, think about it, you take an animal in to your home when he's essentially a baby, of course he's going to learn how to act based on your example.
